Inspiring Others?

I recently had the opportunity to participate in a focus group providing advice to the refining of a policy that will have significant impact on my journey. Whilst one specific discussion ensued, it caused me to think;
How am I developing digital pedagogy capabilities in my colleagues?
I believe at this stage of my journey, this is a significant consideration. It’s not about what I do, but how I do it. I conduct a few short sessions on particular ICT tools, exposing teachers to the options available. In these short sessions I don’t emphasize pedagogy. In my mind their purpose is exposure, however should I be requiring my learners to do more than be exposed?
I have also begun mentoring a group of staff through independent submission of the Smart Classrooms ICT Pedagogical License, the focus here is the pedagogy. This group needs to justify selection of ICT tools and processes based soundly in pedagogy.
Perhaps there needs to be a middle ground. How do I change my practice to continue the short sessions for exposure (so teachers know what is an option) yet increase the importance of pedagogy on the process? Is the face to face session ideal for exposure?
Questions I hope I can answer.
